Easy-to-learn tool

Awesome Alfred! Alfred’s tricky. 2 days max. Remove spotlight, web searches, etc. Alfred always. Better Alfred 3 isn’t in the Mac App Store. iTunes is a shortcut. Good! I like efficient processes. Alfred 3 for Mac AppStore, please. Apple needs Alfred 3! The appearance theme controls font size. Prioritize search results. If you have multiple file versions, you may want to rank them (backups, older versions, svn branches, etc.). Sources? You teach Alfred. Planning helps. Some systems make finding erratic files difficult (like LaTeX files). Tick’works. Irrelevant.

My favourite app, period.

Alfred is the app I’d take to a desert island. I use it to search, open, define, time, calculate, expand text, contact people, manage 1password, manage my clipboard, play music, and more. Nothing comparable “just works” on my Windows PC (yes, there are a number of launchers that do their best, but nothing just like Alfred). I’ve never felt ripped off or overcharged, which is increasingly common. Developers and the “workflows” community are active and responsive. Alfred is one of those apps that is worth it just for opening files and apps, but becomes more valuable as you add features. 3

Milestone app; changes search and command

Since 1984, I’ve been a fan of new software. Many come and go, but many add functionality and help me in various ways. Few are game-changers. Alfred’s. Alfred simplifies the powerful freeware Quicksilver. The app’s speed led me to upgrade, and I’m glad I did. I’ve often spent money on shareware and utilities and felt ripped off. I’m thrilled. Alfred’s name and description are unremarkable. It’s brilliant. Alfred is the “gentleman’s gentleman” who simplifies and streamlines life. This app boosts me.

Top Mac app

Two years ago, I was a casual Mac user. I tried Alfred, then upgraded to 2.0 and Powerpack. After 30 years on PC (DOS Basic? ), I’m a Mac convert. I don’t know how often I use Alfred, but a hundred would not surprise me. Ex: Workflows help me take notes and web clips (Evernote), send IM/SMS, check world time zones, stock updates, launch applications, and eject drives. Programming workflows was easy, and hundreds are free to download. Looking for a Netflix movie? I can find out faster than typing this. Want to search work Dropbox files? Double-tap. I highly recommend Alfred.
