After every update, reinstall AD-laden APP.
2009 APP was great. Its growth hurts me and others. Forget Tech Support, you need a new phone, computer, and APP after every update. Support loves wasting time. Once they request screen shots, crickets. I liked that you could watch videos or buy minutes. Now, ADS rules. Some ads play at full volume while the Close button is inactive. After the last update, the app does the same thing. Unending openings and closings. The phone opens and crashes three times before staying open. I need a new APP, but I’ve had the same number for 10 years. Please fix it.

Latest update crashes MacBookPro GPU This programme needs a Find feature for searching conversation text. They seem to have fixed the ads freezing problem. Aged: This app’s ads are usually in the bottom left. OK. The app still works when I do. Sometimes it locks you in an ad until you force quit TextNow. One star because of this. App is clumsy. Needs work. One star deducted.

I used it for computer texting. Phone notifications don’t always appear. I keep getting spam calls from this app, which is annoying and makes me worry about security.

TextNow steals focus when you wake from sleep or switch WiFi networks, so it appears on top of whatever you’re doing. If another space is full screen, the OS switches to that and you must switch back. My Retina MacBook Pro requires high-performance graphics, which drains the battery.
